Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains which personal data niXomen processes when you visit this website, write to us or use our apps, in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian law.

1. Data controller

beQ entertainment S.r.l., which publishes its apps under the niXomen name
Italy · VAT/Tax ID 10460790966
Email: info [at] nixomen.com

2. The website

Browsing data

Like any website, the server hosting www.nixomen.com records the IP address, date and time, requested page and browser type in its technical logs. These are needed to run the site and protect it from abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and are kept for the period set by the hosting provider.

Contact form and email

If you write to us, we use your name, email, subject, message and language only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and for no more than 24 months, unless the law requires otherwise.

Language preference

The site remembers the language you chose in your browser's storage (localStorage). We use no profiling cookies, analytics or advertising: see the cookie policy.

3. The apps

Our apps run on your Mac and need no account. Below you'll find, app by app, which data they use.

Affianca

Affianca collects no data: images are read from your Mac and stay there. Images shared from other apps are copied to a temporary folder of the app and deleted when you close the window.

Affianca reads the clipboard only when you paste. To list your last files (File → Open Recent) and reopen your last images (File → Reopen Last Images, also at launch), it remembers on your Mac which files you opened. Pasted images and images dragged from a browser are reopened from a copy inside the app's container, deleted when they are no longer among the latest; with File → Reopen at Launch → Never no copies are kept. The Info box reads your images' metadata (camera, GPS, AI prompts) only to show it to you, on your Mac.

To tell you about new versions, Affianca downloads https://www.nixomen.com/updates/affianca.json with a single GET request, at most once a day at launch: no identifiers, only the app's name and version in the User-Agent header, and the address that any connection carries. You can turn it off with Affianca → Check for Updates Automatically.

Guizzo

Guizzo (formerly PNC) reads the text you select only to show and run the actions, and sends nothing to niXomen. Translation happens on your Mac with Apple's framework; Search and Open link send the text only to the website you choose, in your browser. The local diagnostics log stores timings and methods but not the text, unless you turn that option on.

To warn you about risky commands copied from a web page and pasted into the Terminal, Guizzo notes which app the clipboard came from, reading only its change counter, and reads the text only when you're about to paste it into a terminal: it stays on your Mac and doesn't go into the logs.

Stereo

Stereo has no account and no telemetry. The viewer never goes online: it only reads the files you open, and you can rename them from the app.

Models from the browser: only when you ask (menu or ⇧⌘B), and after you allow the ~/Library/Caches folder once, Stereo reads the cache of Chromium browsers on your Mac. It doesn't contact websites and downloads nothing. The models it finds are copied to Stereo's cache, and the copies are deleted after a week.

To tell you about new versions, Stereo downloads https://www.nixomen.com/updates/stereo.json with a single GET request without identifiers, at most once a day at launch or from the menu. It's the app's only network request.

UpApp

To take part in the beta program you gave us your first name, last name, email and language: we use them only for the program (invitations, updates, support and feedback) and keep them until one year after it ends. Screenshots and comments sent with the feedback form are used only to fix the app.

The beta version of UpApp sends error reports to Sentry (sentry.io): error messages, versions of macOS and of the app, and performance data, with no personal content. Sentry may process them in the United States under the safeguards required by the GDPR; we keep them for up to two years.

4. Who receives the data

We do not sell or share your data. The provider hosting our website and email, and the services named in the section of the app that uses them, may process data on our behalf as data processors. We disclose data to authorities only when required by law. If a service processes data outside the European Union, the transfer is covered by the safeguards required by the GDPR (such as standard contractual clauses).

5. Your rights

At any time you can ask us to access, correct or erase your data, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format (Arts. 15-22 GDPR), and withdraw any consent you gave. Write to info [at] nixomen.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

6. Changes

If we change this policy, for example when a new app comes out, we update this page and the date at the top.

Informativa sulla privacy

Ultimo aggiornamento:

P.IVA/CF 10460790966
Email: info [at] nixomen.com

4. A chi comunichiamo i dati

5. I tuoi diritti

Scrivi a info [at] nixomen.com.
